We are currently seeking an experienced a Field Check Auditor responsible for MDU site surveys of existing telecom infrastructure, to work from our Dallas, TX office but travel throughout the US. This position will be 90% travel.   Field Check Auditor Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):    - Perform field walk-out assignments of MDUs on a daily basis over varying terrain and all weather. - Communicates in a professional manner with property managers and customers. - Hand draft (sketch) field routing plan for the location. Drawings to include existing routing (duct, fiber/copper cables, vaults, pole line and applicable electronics) to point of service. - Use Microsoft Excel, on a laptop computer, to create survey documents - Ensure all documents are legibly prepared and meet current design and routing specifications. - Conduct on-site meetings to share construction designs and schedules with end users. - Collect field data in a GIS application.                 - Use of laptop computer to receive dig-it tickets and send pictures. - Assist with unit recognition for billing purposes. - Interface with landowners to obtain additional necessary easements. - Interface with county coordinator for land titles and permitting.

An extensive knowledge of OSP construction practices for fiber optic cable plant is required.  This position may be called upon to function as Lead Designer or Engineering Project Manager based upon project needs.  This position will help to train and mentor Design Engineer II, CAD Drafter, and As-Built positions. - Develop / design layouts of fiber optic networks to service residents and businesses. - Create splicing documents for fiber network design - Generate construction documents for designs - Generate As-built design with production turn ins - Update GIS database with information from as-built construction maps - Consult with customer to define requirements and preferred construction methods - Interpret underground and aerial telecom facilities records on maps and fielding notes. - Liaise with OSP field teams and client to determine component selection, routing and network architecture guidelines in order to produce detailed designs. - Assist in troubleshooting plant mapping and design (as necessary)
